The dead bolt in the second room worked but somehow the smoke smell doubled. Again, this is a non-smoking room.
It's a room. Even though it costs $80 including taxes, don't get your hopes up.
We went to our non-smoking room to be overpowered by smoke smell. Tried the deadbolt and it did not work. Went back to exchange rooms.
Had a king size bed with 2 pillows asked the front desk for extras and they said they didn't have extra, Horrable survive.
We had been traveling for 9 hours and needed a place to stay. We found the red roof inn online and booked. This hotel was awful! It stated that the rooms were non smoking and the first one we got was smoking! The bathroom had not been cleaned and the shower was so gross. Sheets had holes and the nightstand had sticky stuff on it. Who knows what else they didn't clean! We went back to the front desk and they offered a different room, which was better than the first so still gross. They refused to give us a refund. It was the worse hotel experience EVER! Will not be a returning customer and will be letting friends and family know never to come to a red roof inn. If I could give a zero star, I would. Also the hotel stated that it was newly renovated... not sure if they used things in the 80's to revamp the place or not.... questionable.
This place was a dump. For the price they charge you, you
would think the place would be half way decent. The walls had holes and needed to be painted, the sheets didn't fit the bed and the blanket had a big hole in it, TV sucked, the fridge was all scratched and needed to be defrosted. Would definitely not recommend
Checked for bed-bugs. Luckily I could find no evidence, but I did find something similar to blood stains on the side of one mattress!
Bathroom was not clean. Tub was still dirty with hair and build up. The toilet was peeling and still had the "sold" sticker attached as if it was purchased at a yard sale. Over all, the beds were fine and the employees were courteous and not bad coffee that you had to go to the front office for.
We arrived at 11p so it was nice that they accepted us kindly. I will say the lobby smelled distinctly of curry.
When we finally got to sleep the beds were hard and oddly curved like the surface of the earth. Tossing and turning coupled with our newly developed smoker's cough did not make for a restful night's sleep. Not quite worth the $80 price tag in my opinion unless you are into smells.
The only positive I can give this place is the clerk. He was very pleasant.
