*** UPDATE - As stated below, this guy is not a lawyer he is a drunk !!!! After over a year of his new public defender working with my son we are FINALLY going to get a court date. This dumb dude didn't realize that while in the court room you are continually being recorded, yes we have proof that he lied to my son about his plea.... we have PROOF that he was drunk and now both the prosecuting attorney and judge have seen the proof. Soon my son will be back in court, he will be set free finally and when he is I can assure you MR. DAVID AGLER I WILL BE FILING CHARGES AGAINT YOU AND YOU WILL LOSE YOUR ABILITY TO "DEFEND" ANYONE...... probably will be so drunk won't even be able to defend him self..... This man has cost me, my son and worst yet his young son countless hours of hurt, agongy, money but most of all trust in the leagl system. Soon Mr. Agler I will be filing charges against you and I won't have a derlick lawyer like you bet on it !!
David Alger is by far the worst attorney I've come into contact with. He doesn't answer his phone calls, its a joke to leave a voicemail, doesn't matter how much money you give him, he doesn't think you are a priority. I would never recommend Alger to even my worst enemy!
If you are unlucky enough to be appointed this loser as your public defender ask for a new one! This guy saw my son 10 minutes before his court appearance. He came to court smelling like booze, my son had to tell him to get a breath mint he smelled so bad. This guy LIED to my son and told him what they had discussed (over the phone loser didn't even go meet with him) was what my son agreed to turn out he had NO clue what the charges even were and that the most important part serving the sentence together with his probation violation was not true. This loser even let a charge of "maintaining a public nuisance" REALLY I am pretty sure in order to maintain anything you have to first rent or own it..... yep guess what my son NEVER owned nor has he rented anything. Thankfully after many hours of research by my son and myself we were able to get the judge to give him a new public defender, she has already visited him personally TWICE, and one on of the reasons she got a new trial is us being able to PROVE this guy provided derelict, unprofessional and down right negligence of my sons case. When I get through getting my son a fair trial he will be out in less that a year this loser has him serving 8 REALLY. Mr. David Earl Alger you sir a a disgrace to good lawyers and public defenders who do their jobs right. Get yourself a new career because I promise once I have finished funding my sons terrible mistreatment by you I will be turning all my resources into YOU being banned from ever practicing anywhere in the untied states. Count on it.
