We just returned from spending almost 2 weeks at Timberline. What a great place to stay whether it is just overnight or extended stay I highly recommend parking your camper here! Very nice roomy lots which they personaly guide you to and help you set up if you need assistance.
Definitely will be returning!
I am a Good SAM Chapter President in Georgia (Ch 15). I will be reporting this incident to Good SAM -- they need to know since this is a "Good SAM" rated park. Their customer service rating is totally bogus!!
Don't understand the complaints from others about this campground. I am EXTREMELY fussy and found this to be a very nice place. Very quiet and peaceful. Mature trees. Staff was VERY polite and very helpful. Perhaps the complainers broke the rules and thought they would get even by posting a terrible review. I would definitely stay here again.
Extremely rude front desk lady with my father and I, on separate occasions, during my family's recent stay (July 7-9, 2017). My Dad (senior citizen) volunteered out of love to be my "shuttle service" for the weekend with our family car that I bought a campground parking pass for. We had one car for the whole family and he spent less than 3 minutes coming in and out of the park to pick me up and drop me off. The front desk lady wanted him and everyone else in the car to pay for a separate pass because they were "coming to visit" me every time they came in and out of the park, $10 per person per day. What!!!!!! I asked for the manager. She too was rude and unhelpful. Both the front desk lady and the manager said that the parking pass I bought is not "per car," it is "per person in the car." So, the parking pass I bought was "for me" and not anyone else in the vehicle coming to pick me up. WHAT A SCAM!!!! That would have been $40 per day for my family of 4 to come and pick me up and drop me off at the park. The facility itself is nice, but the front desk lady and manager definitely need some customer service refresher training! We were shocked!! We are avid and long-time campers across the USA. We have never, ever seen this behavior before from any campground staff in all our years!!! I told the front office staff that I was going to personally contact the campground owners and to get me their contact info and they gave my father his $10 back. I put my purchased parking pass in the car for the weekend and they did not bother my family for the rest of the weekend.
I feel bad for the owners -- their park is beautiful, but they need to replace those 2 employees pronto and stop the scamming.
Because of their poor and totally rude customer service, we will never be returning to this park.
Play areas for children and a huge grassy area for walking pets. The staff are constantly busy during the day keeping the campground clean and making improvements. The evenings are very quiet and so relaxing. Fire pits are available and they bring firewood right to you.
We really enjoyed our stay here and found all of the staff very friendly and welcoming. The park is very well maintained and keep clean. The wifi was spotty. Sites we're long and level, but a little narrow. Swimming lake was clean and warm. If they had a pool I would consider it 4 stars. I appreciate the trash pickup daily but I only saw one trash can for recycling. They didn't have any kind of activities planned and the store hours were very limited as was the store itself. Bathrooms are super clean but old. I would be glad to come back and really don't have any complaints, just not up to par with other 5 Star parks. They don't seem to be keeping up with the industry. I would definitely do the canoe/kayak trip from River Country nearby.
Overpriced for the hassles you get. Nickle and dime you to death. We stayed 2 nights had my daughter stay with us one night was charged for two. My son stopped by with his wife and my 3 grandchildren and we were charged for them even though no one was in the office to take their money that afternoon. You cannot burn wood unless you buy from them. There was a few pieces of wood left in the fire ring that we burned and they came down the next morning to clean it out and acted like we did something wrong. Will not stay at this place again !!
Campers beware of the "Parking pass per person at $10/day" instead of a purchased parking pass per car scam!!!!
